Ordering season for the W by Worth 2012 Fall Collection opens tomorrow! (My husband would equate this to the opening of college football season. It’s still summer, but he wouldn’t miss it.) I have been perusing the Runway Show, our Look Book and the Runway to Reality looks to have my list ready for bright and early tomorrow morning. Living in Texas, I won’t be able to wear some of these pieces for a few more months, but I want them in my closet as soon as the first cool front comes through! And I do not want to wait until these 5 statement pieces are sold out!

The Blaze Border Print Scarf Belted Tunic is amazing! It’s a top, it’s a scarf, it’s a tunic, it’s all three! The blaze orange color is everywhere this fall. This piece can be worn now with a camisole and winter white skinny jean. Layer a short sleeve mock turtleneck for early fall and a long sleeve skinny when it gets chilly outside. What’s most awesome about this tunic is it can be worn with both brown AND black. The back is solid brown (java roast) and the tie is black. S0 versatile! Pairing with my ponte abbey leggings right away.

The Luggage Leather Tie Front Blouse is another very adaptable top. It is available is this gorgeous luggage color or black. Both can be worn alone or layered with both short or long sleeves. The front tie cinches at the waist for a slimming effect. I am going to pair it with my dark skinny jeans with matching stitching and leopard ballet flats. And tall boots and a skinny turtleneck in November.

Color blocking has been consistent over the past few seasons and can be bold or subtle. This Winter White Colorblock Ponte Dress is a perfect “understated” statement piece! It is also available it a tri-color pattern of blaze, jelly bean and java roast for the more adventurous. I plan on combining this with black leggings and tall boots or my heather grey abbeys and my Tory Burch patent leather Reva ballet flats. (and my YSL black patent roady for sure!) Wouldn’t this one look great with a bright yellow scarf?

Do you still own your houndstooth circa 1999? If you do, you are in luck, it’s back and it’s gorgeous! Another pattern to wear loudly or more illusively. You can find it spun both ways in the fall 2012 collection, but this jacket tops my list. The Black and White Winter White Exploding Houdstooth Coat will not backfire! Mix with any bright hue to maximize the WOW or wear over a slate of black. Houndstooth combined with red is an obvious choice. How about purple, orange or turquoise?

This Faux Fur Jacket (nickname: chubby)  is sure to get you noticed, but not for it’s nickname. This will most definitely sell out fast! I’m going to lower the thermostat before bed tonight and pile on the blankets to get me in the mood to shop for fall. Tomorrow morning will come early!
